HCG Diet Update.......

So I started my HCG diet this week. Last weekend I used Saturday and Sunday as my load days. The diet said to eat fatty foods so you can help pull that fat while losing weight. You take your drops along with loading which to me was a little odd but I am just following directions! Sunday we had my last meal at Tomato Street my favorite restaurant and needless to say I savored every last bite!

Monday kicked off my 800 calorie diet! I find the drops to be rough! They don't have a nice taste to them but really what that's good for you tastes all that good?? LOL :D I weighed myself and my starting weight was 181.2. This is exactly the weight I was when I started Weight Watchers in 2009. I have the same breakfast in the morning a half a grapefruit and a couple pieces of melba toast. I worked super hard on my water intake because well water isn't my favorite. I tried different water bottles all week until I settled on my large sipper from the hospital! Holds a little more than 30 ounces!

I have been rotating for lunch between chicken, steak and shrimp and then I alternate them for dinner as well. I accompany it with a half of a cucumber and either an orange or apple! Repeat for dinner. I have been playing around with seasonings and it's been quite the process. I will be experimenting more this weekend preparing for week 2!!

I am happy to say that this is day 5 on the diet and I am down 6lbs as of this morning! I am pleased as punch!

I will be honest the first night I had a strange dream about a giant brownie chasing me just screaming at me to eat him. I woke up worried that this might be really tough. But as the week has gone on I feel more in control. I feel prepared having my lunches all bagged up and proportioned out. I am ready to change this not so flattering body of mine!

  1. I did the hcg diet last year for about 6 weeks and I lost 17 lbs. I did cheat a little bit. I went to Vegas right after I finished and ended up gaining 10 lbs in 4 days. Whomp whomp, then I got pregnant like a week later. So a year later I'm about 6 lbs down from where I started. I don't know if Id do it again, it made me really cranky.

  2. Yeah my friends are scared of how I will be on this diet and on my period! I am down 7 lbs in 6 days and I feel pretty good. I am working on my cravings and just drinking lots of water. I know a ton of people who have done it and been successful just hoping after I can maintain!!!
